Nigerian soldiers beat a taxi driver to death in Jos, Abdullahi Karafa is the taxi driver who was beaten to death by a group of soldiers enforcing a curfew in Jos, which was place by Plateau state government.
Karafa is a resident of Angwan Rimi Community in Jos north the Local Government Area of Plateau state.
According to Ishaku Takwa, who is the spokesman of operation safe heaven, a special task force, set up by the state government to maintain the peace and enforce the state curfew, said that the head of the state task force, Ibrahim Ali, has vowed that any soldier found culpable will face the law.
He said, “OPSH received with shock a report that its personnel deployed at Farin Gada beat and murdered a commercial taxi driver, Mr. Abdullahi Karafa,” NAN quoted him as saying.
“Immediately we received the report, our commander visited the deceased’s family and consoled them over the unfortunate incident.
