I won’t leave government as a failure, president Muhammadu Buhari vowed at the end of his second term in office in 2023.
Buhari made the statement during a crucial closed door meeting with service chiefs held on Thursday 19th August, at the presidential villa in Abuja.
Major General Babagana Monguno, who is the National Security Adviser (NSA) conveyed the President’s pledged to state house correspondents at the meeting which lasted more than five hours.
“The President was briefed, he is quite happy that there’s been a tremendous success, especially with the advent of the new service chiefs and Inspector-General of Police. He also made it very clear that he’s not ready to exit government as a failure; he is not going to tolerate that.”
